FULL NAME // Arabella Rhian Bletchley
NICKNAME // Ella or Princess, but her closest friends and her immediate family can call her Ella. Only her father can get away with calling her Princess. She loathes nicknames, and would likely hex anybody who attempted to use one.
DATE OF BIRTH // November 9th, 2007
YEAR // Slytherin 7th Year
SOCIAL STATUS // Rich and still Pureblooded, the Bundy family is among the best in society. While they haven't been rich for nearly as long as some of the other families, such as the Malfoys or Parkinsons, the Bletchley's have never lacked for anything. Although perhaps not as well known as some of the other families, the Bletchley family still possesses their own share of connections and influences- a fact which should keep anybody from trying anything against them.
LOCATION // Arabella grew up in St. Albans, a town about 35 km north of centralLondon.

APPEARANCE // Arabella's of just above average height for a girl, standing at 5'6 in stockinged feet. Her hair was a very light blonde as a child, but has darkened up to an almost brown as she's gotten older. It's naturally wavy, though she often charms it straight, and it hangs well down her back- her father always did like her with long hair. She has her mother's eyes, dark brown and rather expressive, though she's gotten quite good at hiding her true thoughts and emotions as needed. She feels that her nose is slightly too big for her face, although anybody else would consider her crazy for thinking so. Her lips are wide and full, the lower lip just slightly fuller than the upper. She's thin, but not so skinny that people want to constantly feed her a burger.

  
Arabella loves to shop- she is known for always wearing the latest and greatest of clothes. She's almost never found in a pair of trousers, unless absolutely necessary. She loves jewelry and shiny baubles, and only likes the best. Her clothes are always tailored to fit her body, emphasizing her best assets. She also loves shoes, and she chooses to wear high heels more than any other sort. She knows that she's attractive, and she's not afraid to show it off- to use her body to her advantage.

QUIRKS AND MANNERISMS //

PERSONALITY // Arabella often comes across as a stuck up, self-serving, pretentious know-it-all, which in all actuality, she probably is. She's pretty and she's smart- and she knows it. She knows what she wants and she'll get it- no matter what the cost. She is very used to getting her way- her parents spoil all of their children and Arabella is not used to hearing the word 'no'. She isn't at the very top of her class- mostly because she doesn't care to be. She does very well in the subjects that interest her and average in the ones she doesn't care about. She's confident- almost too confident at times, and yet can be insecure. She'd never show it to anybody else, unless she really really trusted them. She knows how to act to get what she wants and she's not afraid to do so. The oldest of three, Arabella is her parents' little angel. In their eyes, she is perfect, exactly as she is- she's heard it so much that she really believes it.

She is fiercely protective of and very loyal to those she cares about. Especially her siblings. She'd do anything to them. She has a rather vicious nature at times, sometimes preferring to hex first and ask questions later. She's served more than just a few detentions for this, although she has gotten quite good at managing to avoid getting caught. Most of the time. Her siblings are her best friends, though she does have her own little group at school, made up mostly of whoever she decides she likes the most.

Arabella is rather quiet, preferring to listen than to speak too much. In listening to the world around her, she feels that she can learn so much more than being one of those who speak too much and say nothing at all. She'll listen, and she'll file things away in her memory for later. Often, she'll remember random facts and little details that she can use to gain her own ends. She's a bit of a dreamer, something that her high ambitions can be attributed to. She always has a journal of her own on her, where she scribbles her thoughts, dreams, doodles, lists, and stories. She wants to be a novelist someday, and has a collection of journals that she has been keeping for nearly as long as she's been able to write.

HISTORY // Miles and Kathryn were married for nearly seven years before Arabella was born. This was, in part, due to a miscarriage Kathryn suffered a year or so before they were married, which maybe explains why they treat their children as they do. They also wanted to enjoy being married and being young for a little while before being tied down by the responsibilities of children. They knew they wanted at least one son and one daughter, and when Kathryn found herself pregnant at twenty-seven, they couldn't be happier.

Arabella was born a couple of weeks early, on the morning of November 9th. It was a relatively easy birth, and they were able to bring their daughter home the next day. She was a good child and things progressed as they should. A few months after Ella was born, Kathryn discovered that she was pregnant again- they had been trying, since they wanted a son. Arabella's brother, Nathaniel Cai Bletchley, was born in October of the following year, just ten months after his sister. Now that they had their two children, Miles and Kathryn were content to wait before considering another, but their next daughter had other ideas. Barely two months after Nathaniel was born, Kathryn found herself pregnant for a third time, much to their surprise. It wasn't as much of a surprise to anybody else; everybody could see that they couldn't keep their hands off of each other. Arabella's younger sister, Morgaine Freya, was born in August of that next year.

Arabella had a not-so-average childhood. She and her siblings were raised with the best of everything- the best tutors, the best clothes, the best toys- if they wanted it, it was very likely that they got it. Her father, a former Death Eater, would very occasionally disappear for an evening to attend underground meetings, and sometimes both of her parents would go off for a few hours, but the children didn't notice when they were younger. All in all, she had a happy childhood.

Her parents were not prone to keeping secrets from their children, although they did not always offer the information to them first. If they asked, they were given an honest answer. Her first word was 'Daddy' and she is incredibly close to her father. She completely idolizes the man and she would do absolutely anything for him. Ella's first signs of magic happened when she was around three or four- an slightly older boy was picking on her brother and she got very upset. The next thing anybody knew, the boy was covered in itchy red spots and crying for his mother. This happened a few more times, but mostly when she was really upset.

Nobody was surprised when she received her Hogwarts letter. It was off to Hogwarts for her, and she could not wait. She knew she would miss her siblings, but because they were born so close together, she was very excited to know that they would both be with her the next year. She was sorted into Slytherin, and she tried out for the Quidditch team her third year. She wanted to be a Keeper, just like her father. She made the team, and has been playing ever since.

PARENTS // Kathryn Elizabeth Bletchley née Bundy and Miles Llew Bletchley. Miles was a Slytherin just a few years ahead of Harry, and Kathryn was a Slytherin in Ginny's year. Neither come from any of the 'uber' pureblooded families, but they were by no means unqualified for upperclass society. They met first at Hogwarts; Miles was a fifth year while Kathryn was a second year student. Miles paid little attention to her, until sometime after she finished school. They met when a project of sorts went awry and Kathryn accidentally showed up in Miles' office. It was the beginnings of a courtship- neither wanted the sort of marriage their parents had, and were more than happy to realize that they'd found what they wanted in each other. They've been happily married for over twenty years.


FATHER // Miles Llew Bletchley - Arabella absolutely adores her father. Her first word was "Daddy" and she only grew more attached to him as she got older. She is much closer to him than she is to her mother, and in her eyes he can do no wrong at all. He can never say no to her, and she'd do absolutely anything for him.

MOTHER // Kathryn Elizabeth Bletchley, née Bundy - Mother - Arabella and her mother get along fairly well. They do have much in common (although like any girl, Ella hates to admit it), and while they do have their arguments at times, Ella's glad they're never all too awful. They're not best friends or anything like that, but she has a far better relationship with her mother than many of her peers.

SCORPIO // Scorpio is the eighth Sign of the Zodiac, and you shouldn't take that lightly. You shouldn't take Scorpios lightly, either. Those born under this Sign are dead serious in their mission to learn about others. There's no fluff or chatter for Scorpios, either: these folks will zero in on the essential questions, gleaning the secrets that lie within. Scorpios concern themselves with beginnings and endings, and are unafraid of either; they also travel in a world which is black and white and has little use for gray. The curiosity of Scorpios is immeasurable, which may be why they are such adept investigators. These folks love to probe and know how to get to the bottom of things. The fact that they have a keen sense of intuition certainly helps.

It's the Scorpion which symbolizes Scorpios, and it's no accident. Much like the Scorpion would rather kill itself than be killed, those born under this Sign are the ones who are in ultimate control of their destiny. Scorpios work as hard as they do so they can someday sit back and feel satisfied with themselves. These folks are intense, passionate and filled with desire. They're also complex and secretive, so don't expect to get much out of them, lest they become suspicious and exit stage left. It's best not to bet against Scorpios, either, since these folks are surprisingly resourceful.

SLYTHERIN // What is said of Slytherins born under all other signs is doubly true of Slytherins born under Scorpio. (Or was it that what is said of Scorpios is doubly true of Scorpios sorted into Slytherin?) There is no middle ground here - these wizards can embody all that is the very best in the world... or all that is the very worst. They are heroes, or they are villains. They are attracted to the dark, twisted, and forbidden mysteries of the world from the day they are born, and only they can determine whether they will study the dark arts in order to oppose them, or to embrace them. However, as Scorpio is a sign of transformation and regeneration, it is not impossible for even the most evil of dark wizards to turn to the path of good... Scorpio Slytherins have uncanny wisdom, insight into human psychology, and high "emotional IQ's." They are incredibly ambitious, often exist in a state of total ego, and if misused or hurt, can nurse the wound and seethe for decades.
